Guitars, like all stringed instruments need to be regularly maintained. Changing strings regularly will ensure that the guitar is always at its peak.

All guitars, even some of the high-end instruments will benefit from a full set up. This will include adjusting the neck profile with the truss rod if required, setting the action and intonation, a new set of strings and a full clean and polish including the frets.  You will be amazed at the difference a full set up can make to the playability of the guitar.

Even budget friendly “beginner” guitars will benefit from a set up, but more often than not, the hardware and pickups supplied as standard in these instruments are poor quality and this will be evident in the sound produced.  We can upgrade the pickups and hardware to turn a budget guitar into one that will give far more expensive instruments a run for their money.  We can assess your guitar to see if upgrades will work for you.
